A MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER
Hello and welcome, I'm Anna Wallace, founder and driving force behind our comprehensive health coaching certification. My journey into health coaching began after completing a four-year Food and Nutrition degree and spending several years in the corporate world. Despite my degree, I felt unprepared for my role as a Registered Associate Nutritionist—realising that coaching was a vital part of my professional identity.
This gap between education and practical application led me to pursue additional certifications in life coaching and NLP. However, I found myself spending considerable time, energy, and money without gaining the complete skill set I needed. This journey was compounded by the challenge of learning how to attract clients and generate a sustainable income, which led me to invest heavily in business coaching
Having worked with over 50,000 clients, and after creating a coaching system that equips coaches to enact lasting change, I've invested over £100,000 in refining our business model, which has generated over £2 million in recent years. Through this experience, I've learned that most qualifications offer only a fragment of what is needed—they provide theories without practical application.
That's why I designed our diploma to be different. It's an all-in-one diploma that not only imparts essential nutrition knowledge but also equips you with the practical tools to apply this knowledge effectively. From creating client programmes and recipes to understanding the business aspects of coaching, our qualification covers it all.
I created this system to help you transition from novice to a highly skilled, knowledgeable coach capable of building a profitable online business and facilitating powerful transformations in your clients' lives. Whether you're seeking to make a significant career change or enhance your existing skills, our diploma is designed to empower you with everything you need to succeed.
Thank you for considering joining us on this transformative journey!

Dr Audrey Rankin, Nutrition Consultant and Diploma Facilitator
-
Dr Audrey Rankin completed her BSc (Hons) degree in Food and Nutrition with a Diploma in Industrial Studies at Ulster University, Northern Ireland in 2009, graduating with a 2:1. During this time, Dr Rankin undertook a placement year within the School of Psychology at Ulster University, working on a randomised controlled trial investigating the effect of fish consumption on positive and negative mood states in healthy free-living older adults aged 55 to 79.
Dr Rankin then worked as a Research Assistant at Ulster University working in the area of B vitamins and overall health outcomes, before starting her PhD in Biomedical Sciences at Ulster University in 2011.
Dr Rankin’s PhD is titled “Factors Determining Uptake and Effectiveness of Personalised Nutritional Interventions”. This was a mixed-methods frame of work which aimed to understand the public perspective of personalised nutrition and to establish best practices, develop services and policies that will enable personalised nutrition to promote dietary health in the general population.
Since completing her PhD in 2015, Dr Rankin has worked in a number of research positions at both Ulster University and Queen's University Belfast in areas including psychology, mental health and behaviour change interventions.
Dr Rankin now works at The Centre For Integrative Health as the Nutrition Consultant, where she facilitates the nutrition aspect of the Health Coaching Diploma, writes nutrition-related blogs and social media, and develops healthy recipes.
Dr Rankin says she enjoys working in nutrition as you get to see the direct impact of your knowledge. You can see people change their relationship with food from negative to positive. Food should be enjoyed, so it is nice to see people get excited about food and cooking again!
Kirsty Swash, Coach Supervisor and Student Support
-
Kirsty has been with The WLA since 2020, starting as a resetter, moving on to the Academy and then joining the Certification in 2021.
After becoming certified, Kirsty has worked as a freelance health and weight loss coach and has coached 38 WLA VIP clients since the launch of the programme. More recently Kirsty has taken up the role of VIP programme supervisor and core member of the Coaching Certification team. In the Certification, Kirsty holds regular informal “coach chats” with students to discuss the coaching process, help them work on their own goals and consider their future role.
Kirsty has personal experience transforming her own health and weight loss as well as the health of others. This all triggered a passion for learning and Kirsty went on to also become an Associate NLP Practitioner.
Kirsty states that: “The power of the mind can often be underrated, and it really is a tool we can use to work with us or against us!
I love helping women go from strength to strength on their own personal journeys, and building back self confidence again. It's really a privilege and so rewarding to work one to one with a client, to help personalise their experience and as any good coach does help the client to not only work towards what she wants but identify and give her what she needs. Sharing wins with many women is feeling like no other."
